Founder Cheryl Lucas has been a key player in the food service operations industry for more than 25 years. For more than half of her career she was the Assistant Vice President of Food and Beverage for Classic Residence by Hyatt, the nation’s premier senior living company. Her efforts included opening the company's food service operations in 18 properties from coast to coast. During her tenure with Classic Residence, Cheryl designed, developed and operated a spectrum of dining concepts, from casual to fine dining as well as health care dining. In addition her credentials include establishing training programs for all company chefs, dining room managers and executive directors. Lucas’ efforts as a researcher and author won her the National Investment Council award for her paper on the effect that aging has on taste and smell. The results of that research created a series of programs of healthy cooking techniques that enriched the dining experience.
